The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Disu, has met with Nigerian music star, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, to explore ways the creative industry can support efforts to rebuild public trust in the Nigeria Police Force, particularly among young Nigerians.
Burna Boy, a Grammy Award-winning artiste, was hosted by the IGP at the Police House in Lagos on Saturday, where both parties discussed the potential role of the entertainment industry in strengthening police-community relations and promoting positive engagement with the youth.

The meeting forms part of broader efforts to improve public perception of the police and foster stronger relationships between the security agency and the communities it serves.
With the creative industry wielding significant influence among Nigerian youths, the engagement highlighted the potential of popular culture and influential personalities to promote constructive dialogue, mutual understanding and confidence in policing.

The meeting also underscores the police leadership’s growing interest in engaging young Nigerians through platforms and personalities that resonate with them, as part of efforts to strengthen trust and cooperation between the Force and the public.
