As part of it’s commitment to ensuring the health and well-being of Nigerian Pilgrims, undertaking the sacred journey, the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) has handed over essential medical supplies to National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
The Executive Director of NPHCDA, Dr Muyi Aina, during the handover on Sunday in Abuja, said that it was important to provide comprehensive medical support to the pilgrims.
Aina, who acknowledged the tedious nature of the pilgrimage, highlighted the coordinated efforts to supply vaccines and essential drugs to all states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
He said the medical supplies include antimalaria, antihypertensive, analgesics and antibiotics, aimed at providing timely medical assistance to the pilgrims.
The NPHCDA boss expressed gratitude to the chairman, board members, directors, and staff of NAHCON “for their invaluable partnership, as well as the Coordinating Minister of Health for his unwavering support.”
