The Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, has warned candidates and members of the public against engaging in job racketeering, examination malpractice, or any form of financial inducement in the ongoing Nigeria Police Force recruitment exercise.

According to an official signed statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Nasarawa State Command, SP Ramhan Nansel, the CP gave the warning while announcing that the written examination for applicants seeking enlistment as Constables (General Duty and Specialist cadres) will hold from April 28 to 30, 2026.

The statement disclosed that the examination in Nasarawa State will take place at Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic, Lafia, and will be conducted daily within the scheduled period, adding that only candidates who successfully passed the physical and credentials screening are eligible to participate.

Qualified applicants were advised to log on to the official recruitment portal from April 24, 2026, to print their Examination Invitation Card, which contains details of their specific examination date, time, and venue.

Candidates are expected to attend the examination with a writing pen, their National Identification Number slip issued by the National Identity Management Commission bearing a clear photograph, and a printed copy of their Examination Invitation Card. They are also required to appear in white shorts, white T-shirt, and white canvas shoes.

The Command further cautioned that bags, mobile phones, and other electronic devices will not be allowed into the examination hall, urging strict compliance with the directive.

CP Shetima reiterated that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge and assured that any individual found engaging in fraudulent practices would be dealt with in accordance with the law, while urging the public to report suspicious activities to the nearest police formation.
