Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have intensified offensive operations against Boko Haram networks in the North-East, arresting key collaborators including a suspected drone supplier, neutralising a terrorist commander, and thwarting insurgent activities in Adamawa and Borno States.
The arrests and battlefield successes were disclosed in an official statement signed by the Media Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East) Operation Hadin Kai, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, who said the operations were conducted in close coordination with local vigilantes, hunters, and the Civilian Joint Task Force.
According to the statement, troops of Sector 4 under the 28 Task Force Brigade on Thursday apprehended a 28-year-old terrorist logistics supplier, Ismail Muhammed, in the Visik General area of Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
Items recovered from the suspect included one AK-47 rifle magazine, rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, military accoutrements, and assorted foodstuffs believed to be meant for insurgents.
“The suspect is currently in custody undergoing further investigation,” the statement said.
In another operation in Madagali Local Government Area, troops of Sector 4 carried out a successful ambush along the Visik River line, where they neutralised a terrorist commander identified as Abdullahi Mafa.
An AK-47 rifle and a loaded magazine were recovered from the neutralised insurgent.
Acting on further intelligence, troops also arrested a 64-year-old terrorist collaborator and drone supplier, Dauda Usman Gubula, at Madagali Motor Park.
Military authorities described Gubula as a key logistics enabler who supplied drones to Boko Haram elements, which were subsequently locally weaponised and deployed against troops.
Items recovered from him included two aerial drones, drone accessories, and 20 solar power banks.
The statement noted that troops have continued to intensify efforts aimed at dismantling terrorist logistics and supply networks across the theatre of operations.
Meanwhile, in Sector 2, troops of Operation Hadin Kai, working alongside local vigilantes and the Civilian Joint Task Force, successfully repelled insurgent activity in Ngamdu, Borno State.
During the encounter, a terrorist informant attempting to breach defensive positions was neutralised, while logistics items were also recovered.
Military authorities said the ongoing operations form part of sustained efforts to disrupt Boko Haram supply chains, restore security, and protect communities across the North-East.
The Military High Command commended the troops for their sacrifices, resilience, and dedication in the fight against terrorism, urging them to sustain the operational tempo to decisively defeat insurgent elements in the region.
