The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Zone D (North Central) celebrates former Imo First Lady, her Excellency Zinariya Nkechi Rochas Okorocha, as she marks her birthday.
NAWOJ Vice President, Zone D, Chizoba Ogbeche, in a press statement by the Zonal Secretary, Juliana Ose Ofoku, Monday in Abuja, said: “Today, we honour a woman whose life continues to inspire through her unwavering dedication to humanitarian service, women’s empowerment, and community development.
“Her Excellency’s remarkable contributions during her time in office, and her continued philanthropic engagements thereafter, have left an indelible mark on the lives of women, children, and vulnerable communities in Imo State and beyond.
“As a mother, mentor, and role model, she has championed values of compassion, resilience, and selfless leadership.
“Her commitment to building a more inclusive society, particularly through education, healthcare support, and programmes that uplift the girl-child, remains a source of motivation to many.”
Mrs Ogbeche further noted that, Dr Nkechi Okorocha, who is the founder of Women of Divine Destiny Inititive (WODDI), a hub of empowerment, mentorship, and transformation, has remained a symbol of genuine service and purpose-driven leadership.
“On this special day, we celebrate the enduring legacy of a former First Lady whose impact transcended her years in public office and pray for many more years of impact. Happy birthday, Your Excellency, and enjoy your day and new age,” she declared.
