The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, has approved the posting of Deputy Inspector-General of Police Mohammed Adamu Dankwara as the new DIG in charge of the Department of Finance and Administration of the Nigeria Police Force.
The announcement was contained in an official statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, who noted that DIG Dankwara takes over from DIG Sahabo Abubakar Yahaya, who recently retired after more than three decades of distinguished and meritorious service to the nation.
Before his elevation to the Police Management Team, DIG Dankwara served as the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Abuja, where he was recognised for his leadership competence, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to duty.
IGP Egbetokun, while congratulating the newly posted DIG, expressed strong confidence in his ability to deploy his extensive experience to strengthen the administrative and financial architecture of the Nigeria Police Force. He added that the posting aligns with the Force leadership’s ongoing reforms aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, service delivery, and strategic management across commands and departments nationwide.
The Nigeria Police Force reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens through diligent leadership placements, accountability, and performance-driven reforms.
