The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has congratulated 18-year-old Muhammad Aminu Sani for achieving a remarkable feat in the global aviation sector after earning a United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Commercial Multi-Engine Pilot Licence from Phoenix East Aviation (PEA) in Daytona Beach, Florida.

In an official statement signed by the Director of Media and Public Relations, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Dabiri-Erewa described the young aviator’s accomplishment as a testament to the brilliance, resilience, and determination of Nigerian youths who continue to break global boundaries through hard work and excellence.

She noted that Sani’s attainment at such a tender age highlights the vast potential within Nigeria’s young population when provided with the right environment, mentorship, and opportunities.

According to the statement, Sani completed the highly demanding training programme in less than 12 months, an exceptional milestone achieved without a single checkride failure, a rarity even among seasoned flight trainees. His commitment, discipline, and consistent performance throughout the process reflect his deep passion for aviation and lifelong dream of becoming a pilot.

“Becoming a pilot has always been my childhood dream, and today I’m proud to say I’m living that dream and enjoying every step of the journey,” Sani said with pride. “I hope my story inspires others to chase their dreams with determination and never give up on what they believe.”

Born and raised in Abuja, the young pilot, who turned 18 last week, completed his high school education at Al-Hidaayah Academy before graduating with distinction in Economics Foundation from The Regent College, Abuja. He later proceeded to the United States to pursue his dream at Phoenix East Aviation, one of the world’s top FAA Part 141 flight schools.

During his training, Sani excelled under diverse and challenging aviation conditions including night flights, instrument navigation, and multi-engine operations, maintaining an outstanding 97% average score in all FAA written examinations.

Hon. Dabiri-Erewa commended Sani’s focus, discipline, and excellence, describing his story as “a source of national pride and a beacon of hope for millions of young Nigerians striving to make a mark globally.”

She further encouraged him to continue to soar higher as he pursues his ambition of joining a leading international airline, noting that his journey represents the very best of Nigeria’s youthful promise.

“Your success is not just personal but national,” Dabiri-Erewa remarked. “You have shown what Nigerian youths can achieve when they dream big and work hard. The sky is not your limit, it is only the beginning.”
