The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has officially announced the commencement of applications for its Direct Short Service Course (DSSC) 34/2025, calling on qualified Nigerian graduates across diverse fields to seize the opportunity to serve the nation through a career in the Air Force.
The announcement, made in a public notice signed by Air Vice Marshal AH Bakari on Tuesday, emphasized that the DSSC recruitment exercise is open to graduates from various professions, reflecting the NAF’s commitment to integrating skilled professionals into its ranks to bolster national security and operational effectiveness.
“Are you a graduate seeking an opportunity to serve your nation with pride and professionalism?” the statement asked, urging interested candidates to take advantage of the process.
According to the statement, the application is free of charge and will run exclusively online from 27 August to 7 October 2025 through the official recruitment portal: www.nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng.
The NAF described the opportunity as more than a career choice, but rather “a bold step in service to country,” encouraging young Nigerians with the right qualifications and drive to contribute to national defence.
The DSSC remains one of the key recruitment avenues for the Air Force, designed to absorb graduates into specialized roles where their professional expertise can be deployed to enhance NAF’s operational readiness.
Over the years, the Nigerian Air Force has used the DSSC to recruit officers in fields ranging from engineering and medicine to legal services, education, ICT, and other critical areas needed to sustain its complex operations.
With the new application window now open, the Air Force is once again inviting patriotic, skilled, and disciplined Nigerians to “soar with the Nigerian Air Force.”
