President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of a new Director-General and members of the management team of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), with a charge to reposition and revitalise the organisation for more effective service delivery.
According to a statement signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Segun Imohiosen, the new Director-General is Rotimi Pedro from the South-West. Other appointments include Karimah Bello from the North-West as Executive Director, Marketing; Stella Din Jacob from the North-Central as Executive Director, News; and Sophia Essahmed from the North-East as Managing Director of NTA Enterprises Limited.
The President urged the new management team to work collaboratively in infusing innovations into the broadcasting giant, with the goal of restoring the NTA’s reputation as the foremost public service broadcaster in Africa.
President Tinubu further emphasized that the appointees must pursue excellence, uphold professionalism, and deliver on the administration’s vision of using media as a tool for national cohesion, enlightenment, and development.
