The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has congratulated British heavyweight prospect, Moses Itauma, on his emphatic victory on Sunday, describing the win as a proud moment for Nigerians all over the world.
In a statement signed by Gabriel Odu of the Media, Public Relations and Protocols Unit, the Commission, under the leadership of its Chairman/CEO, Hon. Abike Dabiri–Erewa, commended Itauma’s outstanding performance and applauded his rising profile in the world of professional boxing.
Born in Kežmarok, Slovakia, to a Nigerian father and Slovakian mother before relocating to England, Moses Itauma’s journey has been marked by discipline, talent and determination. According to NiDCOM, his latest triumph is a reflection of the resilience and excellence that Nigerians in the diaspora continue to display across various fields of endeavour.
“This latest success is a testament to his discipline and resilience qualities that reflect the excellence Nigerians around the world are known for,” the Commission stated, adding that the victory will inspire not only Nigerians in the diaspora but young athletes everywhere who aspire to greatness.
