The Honourable Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Nigeria’s Super Falcons following their spirited 2–1 victory over South Africa’s Banyana Banyana, lauding the team’s performance as a powerful symbol of courage, unity, and the unyielding spirit of Nigerian women.

In a statement issued through her Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Jonathan Eze, the Minister praised the Super Falcons for their dazzling display of skill, resilience, and determination during the high-stakes match, describing it as a moment that transcends football.

“Our Super Falcons soared above the storm with hearts of fire and feet that danced the rhythm of victory,” Sulaiman-Ibrahim said. “This win is not just a scoreboard triumph but a powerful testament to the undaunted, unstoppable, and united spirit of Nigerian women.”

The Minister emphasized that the team’s success represents more than just a sporting milestone, noting that it reinforces the growing global influence of Nigerian women in sports and beyond. She described the Falcons’ performance as a proud reflection of the values that continue to define Nigerian women brilliance, strategy, tenacity, and unbreakable unity.

“You have made the nation proud,” she declared. “This victory is a beacon, a resounding declaration that Nigerian women cannot be held back. Your journey inspires generations and uplifts the collective spirit of the nation.”

Sulaiman-Ibrahim also reaffirmed the Federal Government’s unwavering support for the team, stating that the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs stands firmly with the Falcons as they continue their quest for continental dominance.

“The Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu stands solidly behind them, and the Ministry remains a proud and unwavering supporter of your journey,” she noted.

Offering words of encouragement, the Minister called on the Super Falcons to continue their upward march. “Soar now, daughters of destiny, toward gold and glory. Nigeria watches, breathes, and believes in you. The crown is yours to seize, go, Champions, go!”
