FRSC Reorganizes Leadership for Greater Impact

As part of strategic initiative targeted at ensuring full realization of the corporate strategic goals of the Corps for the year 2025, the Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps, Shehu Mohammed has approved the  redeployment of 3 newly appointed Deputy Corps Marshals, 2 Assistant Corps Marshals, and 24 Corps Commanders to key Departments and Corps offices in order to give a boost to existing efforts of the Corps towards creating a safer motoring environment.

ACM Olusegun Ogungbemide the Corps Spokesperson in an official signed statement disclosed that the redeployed senior officers, Deputy Corps Marshal (DCM) Aliyu Datsama fsi, the erstwhile Assistant Corps Marshal in charge of Special Duties and External Relations Department is to henceforth oversee the affairs of the Department of Motor Vehicle Administration, DCM Pauline Olaye who was in charge of Project Implementation Office at the National Headquarters is to take over Special Duties and External Relations while the  Deputy Corps Marshal Technical Service Department (TSD), DCM Ahmed Tahir Hassan fdc is to remain as DCM TSD at the National Headquarters, Abuja.

In addition to the above, the Corps Marshal also approved the redeployment of Assistant Corps Marshal Godwin Omiko Ph.D the erstwhile ACM Motor Vehicle Administration Department to now head the Project Implementation Office, as Assistant Corps Marshal in charge of Corps Safety Engineering Office, ACM Emmanuel Dung is to move resume duty as ACM Motor Vehicle Administration at the national headquarters.

In the same vein, Ekiti, Plateau, Katsina, Kano, Kaduna, Kano, Minna, Kogi, Bayelsa, Taraba, Jigsaw, Osun, Imo and Zamfara states all got new Sector Commanders.

However, the Corps Marshal also graciously appointed for the first time in the history of the Corps, a female Corps Commander Ann Oladayo Odeleye fsi as Zonal Commanding Officer RS Zone 2 Lagos in acting capacity, covering the general operation area of Lagos and Ogun States respectively.

Expectedly, the Corps Marshal expressed confidence in the capacity and experiences of the newly redeployed senior officers to deliver on mandate as he charged them to bring their professional expertise for impactful leadership.

The redeployment is with immediate effect.
