The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has taken a significant step in its ongoing efforts to root out corruption within its ranks. Ten officers from the Lagos Zonal Command are currently being detained for investigation into allegations of theft involving missing items. This move demonstrates the commission’s commitment to transparency and accountability, as it seeks to purge itself of corrupt elements and maintain the trust of the public.
A statement made available to newsmen by the commission’s spokes person Dele Oyewale states that; the officers, who were arrested last week on the directives of the Executive Chairman, Mr. Ola Olukoyede are answering questions related to the theft of some operational items that they could not account for.
Investigators are making good progress and those found culpable will be subjected to internal disciplinary processes
