The Garkuwan Keffi, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai (Rtd), has celebrated the Emir of Keffi, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, CON, on his 60th birthday, commending his commitment to promoting unity, peaceful coexistence and development within the Keffi Emirate.
Buratai, in a congratulatory message, described the monarch’s 60th birthday as a significant milestone and an occasion to appreciate his years of exemplary traditional leadership and dedicated service to his people.
According to an official statement signed by Brigadier General SK Usman (Rtd), the former Chief of Army Staff acknowledged the Emir’s contributions to the welfare, unity and advancement of the Keffi Emirate, noting that his leadership had been characterised by dignity, wisdom, restraint and a strong sense of responsibility.
He also commended the monarch’s role as Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, describing it as a demonstration of the important role traditional institutions play in promoting educational advancement, intellectual development and societal progress.
Buratai noted that the Emir had continued to exemplify purposeful traditional leadership through his commitment to the wellbeing of his subjects and the development of the community.
He said the monarch’s 60th birthday provided an opportunity for his family, the traditional institution, the people of Keffi and well-wishers to appreciate Almighty Allah for His grace, blessings and preservation of the Emir over the years.
“On this auspicious occasion, I associate myself with the Emir’s family, the distinguished traditional institution of the Keffi Emirate, its people and numerous well-wishers in offering profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for His abundant grace, blessings and preservation of His Royal Highness over the years,” Buratai said.
He prayed for continued divine blessings, sound health, wisdom and strength for the monarch, wishing him many more fruitful years of purposeful service to the Keffi Emirate, Nasarawa State and Nigeria.
The Garkuwan Keffi reaffirmed his respect, goodwill and solidarity with the Emir and the people of Keffi Emirate, wishing the monarch a happy 60th birthday and many more years of peaceful, fulfilling and impactful reign.
