The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has called on staff and corps members to renew their commitment to national unity, service and the ideals that bind Nigerians together as one people.
The Director-General made the call in an Independence Day message to staff and corps members as Nigeria marks its 66th Independence Anniversary, congratulating them on the occasion and urging them to reflect on the country’s journey and achievements.
According to an official statement signed by Caroline Embu, Director, Information and Public Relations, the NYSC Director-General said the anniversary provided an opportunity for Nigerians to reaffirm their commitment to the values of unity and service.
The Director-General commended the dedication of NYSC staff and corps members to national development, noting that their contributions through the scheme remain important to building a brighter future for the country.
The Director-General urged staff and corps members to sustain their commitment to national development and continue to uphold the ideals of service and unity as Nigeria advances.
As the country commemorates 66 years of independence, the NYSC leadership expressed confidence in the continued contributions of its personnel and corps members towards strengthening national cohesion and development.
