The APC Presidential Campaign Council will be headed by Senator Abdulaziz Yari, former Governor of Zamfara State and serving Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, who has been appointed Director-General.
The council comprises former governors, serving senators, ministers, party leaders and grassroots mobilisers, reflecting the party’s effort to assemble a broad-based campaign structure with national reach and political experience.
According to the statement, the appointments underscore the importance attached to political mobilisation, grassroots sensitisation, infrastructure advocacy and national coordination as the APC prepares for the 2027 elections.
With Yari providing overall leadership and Umahi overseeing infrastructure, mobilisation and sensitisation, the council is expected to drive the APC’s nationwide campaign and strengthen its engagement with voters ahead of the polls.
