The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has joined the global commemoration of the 2025 Customer Service Week with a special symposium held at its headquarters in Abuja. The event, themed “Mission Possible,” underscored the Commission’s enduring commitment to excellence, accountability, and public trust in service delivery.
In a statement signed by the Director of Public Enlightenment, Demola Bakare, the keynote address was delivered on behalf of the ICPC Chairman, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, by Mr. Clifford Oparaodu. He reaffirmed the Commission’s unwavering resolve to rid Nigeria of corruption through both enforcement and preventive measures, stressing that integrity and service excellence remain at the heart of ICPC’s mission.
Dr. Aliyu commended the Reforms and SERVICOM Unit for their steadfast dedication to ensuring effective and citizen-focused service delivery to both internal and external stakeholders. He acknowledged the Unit’s efforts in implementing the ICPC Service Charter, monitoring core processes such as procurement, conducting customer satisfaction surveys, and resolving complaints with professionalism and transparency.
The ICPC Chairman also appreciated the SERVICOM Office for its long-standing collaboration with the Commission, citing notable joint initiatives such as the 2024 Customer Service Week celebration, the launch of the ICPC Service Charter, and a staff sensitisation programme held in February 2025.
Speaking on the event’s theme, Dr. Aliyu described the anti-corruption crusade as a collective responsibility that requires the cooperation and integrity of every Nigerian.
“The fight against corruption is not for ICPC alone but for every Nigerian who has the interest of the nation at heart. With integrity, hope, and a commitment to continuous improvement, we can turn our mission into a possible reality,” he stated.
Delivering a goodwill message, the Acting National Coordinator of SERVICOM, represented by Mr. Mfon Mfon, lauded the ICPC for its unwavering role in promoting integrity, accountability, and citizen-centered service delivery. He particularly commended the Commission’s emphasis on effective complaint resolution and its adoption of digital reporting platforms that foster transparency and strengthen public confidence.
Mr. Mfon further applauded the dedication of ICPC staff who manage public complaints, petitions, and inquiries daily, describing them as “frontline heroes” of public service who exemplify the spirit of this year’s theme, Mission Possible.
The event concluded with a renewed commitment from the ICPC leadership to deepen service reforms, enhance operational efficiency, and uphold the highest standards of integrity in the discharge of its duties. The Commission reiterated that with shared vision, collaboration, and unwavering determination, building a corruption-free Nigeria remains not only a mission—but a possible reality.
