The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, CON, has extended warm felicitations to all Nigerians, especially the Muslim Ummah, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha 2025, urging citizens to embrace the values of faith, sacrifice, unity, and national renewal.

In a statement made available by Segun Imohiosen, Director, Information and Public Relations, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Akume called on Nigerians to reflect on the exemplary life of Prophet Ibrahim, which epitomizes unwavering faith, obedience to divine instruction, sacrifice, and absolute trust in the will of Allah.

He noted that this year’s Eid-ul-Adha celebration is particularly significant as it coincides with the second anniversary of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, marking what he described as “a milestone moment in Nigeria’s democratic journey.”

According to the SGF, “This solemn occasion offers us an opportunity to reflect deeply on our collective responsibilities as citizens. We must promote peace, unity, compassion, and patriotism in our interactions and attitudes, both at home and abroad.”

Senator Akume reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of President Tinubu’s administration to delivering on the Renewed Hope Agenda by ensuring that the sacrifices of Nigerians translate into concrete dividends of democracy. He cited ongoing reforms aimed at inclusive economic growth, security enhancement, improved governance, and national cohesion.

He added that the Federal Executive Council (FEC), under the leadership of President Tinubu, remains focused on ensuring that the aspirations of Nigerians are met through transparent governance, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of national prosperity.

On behalf of the Federal Executive Council, Senator Akume conveyed his heartfelt wishes to all Nigerians for a peaceful, joyous, and spiritually enriching Eid-ul-Adha celebration, encouraging the faithful to extend love and support to the less privileged during the festivities.
