Alhaji Abdullahi Al-Hassan Imran, the newly appointed Chairman of Katsina State Fiscal Responsibility Commission, led his Management team to a one-day courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Victor Muruako Esq in his Asokoro, Abuja office.
He informed the FRC Boss that the Katsina State Government has constituted a Fiscal Responsibility Commission in the State.
Alhaji Al-Hassan expressed his happiness to be at the FRC Abuja to learn how best his management team could carry on with the mandate of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission in the State.
In his response, the Executive Chairman of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Victor Muruako Esq expressed his readiness to provide technical assistance to the Katsina State Fiscal Responsibility Commission in line with section 54 of the Fiscal Responsibility Act, 2007 which states that “the Federal Government may provide technical and financial assistance to the states and Local Governments that adopt similar fiscal responsibility legislation along the same line as this Act for the modernization of their respective tax, financial and asset administration”.
Muruako Commended the Executive Governor of Katsina state, His Excellency Governor Daikko Umar Radda for summoning the courage to establish the Fiscal Responsibility Commission in the state in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. He encouraged the new Board to begin to set up the structure of the state’
He assured them FRC Abuja is ever ready to be in the state to enlighten the Ministries, Departments and Agencies on the need to cue into the fiscal regime of the Governor of the Katsina State and for them to know more about the existence of the Fiscal Responsibility Law in the state.
Muruako promised to carry the Katsina State Fiscal Responsibility Commission along in her awareness and enlightenment campaigns at the sub-regions.
The Katsina state FRC Chairman was accompanied by a member of the state FRC, Architect (Mrs.) Umma Dambo Mamman-Da, the Secretary of the State FRC, Alhaji Aliyu Hamisu Yar’adua and the former Federal Commissioner who represented Northwest in the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Alhaji Zakari M. Sada.
