Successful counter-attack was conducted, resulting in the reoccupation of the base.

During the counter-attack, at least 5 terrorists were neutralized and a cache of arms and ammunition were recovered including one AK 101 rifle, one magazine containing 13 rounds of 5.56mm NATO ammunition, 51 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, and 16 rounds of 5.56mm NATO ammunition.
