The President of the Defence and Police Officers Wives Association (DEPOWA), Mrs Oghogho Gwabin Musa, has donated a set of kitchen utensils to the Catholic Women Organization (CWO) of Mogadishu Cantonment, Asokoro, Abuja.

The presentation took place on 7 May 2025 at the DEPOWA Secretariat, where the President of the Zumunta Mata Catholic Women Organization, Mrs Lucy Adams, led a delegation of members to formally receive the donation.

In her remarks, Mrs Musa explained that the gesture was in response to a request made by the group to support their efforts in establishing a functional kitchen for catering purposes during events. She expressed hope that the equipment would serve as a foundation for a viable income-generating venture that would benefit members and their families.

“I encourage you to take this venture seriously,” Mrs Musa said, “as it has the potential to provide additional financial support to your households.”

In her response, Mrs Adams expressed appreciation on behalf of the CWO, thanking the DEPOWA President for her generosity and commitment to empowering women within the barracks community. She assured that the donated items would be put to effective use in advancing the organization’s goals.

The event concluded with the formal presentation of the utensils and a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
