Responding, the Corps Marshal who expressed immense happiness over the Emir’s advocacy, appreciated him for recognizing the risks that FRSC personnel subject their selves to in the line of duty due largely to lack of arms.
He stated that his administration is doing everything possible to boost the morale of staff so as to enhance their general productivity as the Corps buckles towards enhancing the Safety of lives and properties. He revealed that part of the morale boosting efforts is the ongoing housing projects for staff.
The Corps Marshal said that by equipping FRSC personnel with arms and ensuring the security of its installations, the the Corps can be more focussed on its core mandate of promoting road safety and reducing crashes on Nigerian roads.
This according to him, will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the lives of Nigerians and contribute to the overall development of the country.
