The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has taken a monumental step towards realising Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed’s vision of “One Man One House” with the commissioning of another estate in Ilorin, Kwara State.

This groundbreaking achievement aligns with the Corps Marshal’s policy thrust on continuous enhancement of the welfare of  personnel.

An official signed statement made available by the commission’s spokesperson ACM Olusegun Ogungbemide disclosed that the commissioned estate is one amongst many shining examples of the Corps Marshal’s dedication to providing quality, comfortable and affordable housing solutions for its personnel. This feat is a significant milestone in Corps Marshal’s quest to ensure that every FRSC personnel has access to decent housing.

While commissioning and handing over keys of the structures at the FRSC Homes in CAMICS Garden City, the Corps Marshal said that the programme is not just a celebration of buildings, but a testimony of vision fulfilled, partnership rekindled, and hope restored. According to him, the project tells a story of perseverance, of dedication to staff welfare, and of  collective resolve to make affordable housing not just a policy, but a reality for every willing member of the FRSC family.

“Under my watch as Corps Marshal, I have made it clear that staff welfare—especially in the area of shelter—is not negotiable. That commitment is strengthening the Vision 20,000 Housing Initiative under the mantra: ‘One Man, One House’. I am proud to say that, through our renewed collaboration with developers like CAMICS Consults, and through the determination of the FRSC Housing Cooperative, we have so far delivered over 40 hectares of land for staff and public subscription,

Handed over about 40 homes across various locations.” He stated.

Some of the key locations where homes and lands are currently available include: Orozo (Abuja), Ado-Ekiti, Ilorin, Uyo, Sokoto, Kuje (Abuja) as well as Bwari (Abuja).

The commissioned estate promises to

provide comfortable and affordable housing solutions for FRSC personnel, enhance job satisfaction and productivity among personnel, as well as create a sense of belonging and camaraderie among personnel.

The commissioning of FRSC estates across locations is a huge achievement that will undoubtedly improve the lives of FRSC personnel. As the Corps continues to work towards realising the “One Man One House” vision, it looks forward to a brighter future for all personnel.

The event was attended by notable dignitaries who praised the Corps Marshal for the initiative, including Honourable Prince Laide Muhammed, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Pensions, and Alhaji Najeem Usman Yasim, former National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, along with representatives from paramilitary agencies in the state.
