…says data-driven evaluation is a critical tool for precision

As part of enhancing its operational efficiency and promote evidence-based decision-making, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has concluded a 3-day capacity-building workshop on Monitoring, Evaluation, and Data Management. Organized by the Standards and Evaluation Branch and facilitated by Neo Cloud Technologies.
The training brought together evaluators from various NAF Commands and units across the country.

The workshop aligns with the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar’s philosophy of deliberate training and mission-oriented development.

It focused on strengthening evaluators’ understanding of data-driven processes to measure performance and assess the strategic impact of NAF operations. The CAS emphasized that “data-driven evaluation is a tool for precision,” reinforcing the role of data in refining operations and achieving national security goals.
Participants were introduced to modern evaluation tools, including software for impact assessment and cost-benefit analysis.

These tools will enable more accurate assessments, enhance accountability, and support strategic alignment—equipping NAF evaluators to contribute effectively to the Service’s vision of a professional and agile force ready to meet evolving security challenges.
