Minister, service chiefs in military cemetery for burial of officers killed

The Minister of Defence and the entire military high command are at the military cemetery to pay their last respect to officers who died in an ambush in Niger State.

Present at the cemetery are the minister of Defence, Alhaji Badaru Mohammed, and minister of state, Bello Mattawale.

Others are Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja, Chief of Navy Staff, Vice Admiral Ikechukwu Ogalla and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Abubakar Hassan among other top military personnel.

Some families of the deceased were seen in tears at the cemetery.

The Nigerian Armed Forces flag flew half-mast in the cemetery.
