The Nigeria Police Force has taken a significant step by writing to Amnesty International to demand an apology and retraction of reports they deem misleading. This move comes after Amnesty International published a report alleging that the Nigerian Police Force used excessive force against protesters during the #EndBadGovernance demonstrations, resulting in at least 24 deaths.

Leaked documents have surfaced, providing further evidence to support the narrative. The documents, which have been obtained, shed more light on the situation and corroborate previous claims.

The report by Amnesty International documented cases of police brutality, including the use of live ammunition and tear gas against peaceful protesters.

By demanding an apology and retraction, the Nigerian Police Force is seeking to address what it perceives as inaccuracies and biases in Amnesty International’s reporting.
