Major General Oluyinka Olalekan Soyele, Theatre Commander of the Joint Task Force North West Operation Fansan Yamma, has charged newly promoted officers to remain committed to the military’s core values and ethics, especially loyalty to established authority.

General Oluyinka Olalekan Soyele’s call to uphold military values and loyalty came during the investiture ceremony of newly promoted officers, including Commodore Kabir Umar Rabiu, Lieutenant Colonel Markus Defwan, and Army Warrant Officer David Yusuf, held in Gusau, Zamfara State on December 27, 2024.

General Soyele further highlighted loyalty as a quintessential attribute for any officer and emphasized that loyalty, discipline, dedication and commitment to duty are crucial to achieving the Theatre’s mandate of combating terrorism and criminal activities in the North West Zone and Niger State. He also called on the promoted officers to always demonstrate exemplary leadership in their supporting roles towards the achievement of enduring peace and stability in the region.

The ceremony was well attended by officers and men of the Joint Task Force Operation Fansan Yamma, as well as distinguished guests from Gusau and surrounding areas, including the esteemed Sarkin Pawa Gusau.
