In a heartwarming display of generosity and in the spirit of the season, Emangie Global Services Limited in collaboration with G-Child Foundation x EGS Limited has organized a memorable Christmas celebration for the widows, elderly and children of Utako village community, FCT, Abuja.

The event was held at the Chief’s palace in the community on Saturday, 21st December, 2024.

Tagged “December hangout for Widows and Children” it was indeed a memorable time for all the attendees, many of whom were 45 years and above, as they were treated to health talk, security talk, peace talk and hygiene talk.

Speaking at the event, one of the Organizers, Nkechi Eze, the Chief Executive Officer of Emangie Global Services Limited thanked the Chief and people of the Utako village community for obliging the call and  noted that one of her happiest moments in life is when she puts smiles on the faces of people. “ I am dedicated to touching lives; bringing smiles to people’s faces, and generally giving back to the society” she said .

She added that Christmas is not merely about exchanging gifts but also about sharing love, warmth, and ensuring that everyone feels acknowledged and cherished. Which is why the event is being organized.

Speaking on living a healthy life, she urged the elderly to prioritize taking care of their health as it is important. She advised that they should be more observant of their body system stating that “Once you notice any changes, visit the hospital, avoid self-mediation”

“Drink lots of water. Water helps to keep your system clean. A clean system keeps you away from the hospital. In this tough times, it won’t be nice spending money on hospital bills, let us imbibe the habit of drinking lots of water” she said.

While speaking on hygiene and security, she said “Take your hygiene very seriously.

Clean your house and surrounding very well to avoid disease. When you are healthy, you do not need to go to the hospital to spend money.

Teach your children to be clean, and finally, help the security agencies to avoid crime. if you see something, say something.

Do not aid and abet crimes and criminals”.

The She urged beneficiaries to go home with the mindset of sharing love with others, too.

Also speaking, the Managing director G-Child Foundation x EGS Limited counseled the attendees not to give up, but to keep on pushing on as better days are ahead. She commended the Chief Damasali Utako, for his efforts in ensuring that the event was seamless and promised that more of such will be coming to the community soonest.

In his response, Danjuma Daniel,  the Chief Damasali Utako of the Community thanked the organizers for their effort at ensuring the elderly and children shared in the joy of the season by organizing the programme and pledged to always support them whenever they need him to.

At the end of the event, the attendees went home with a gift bag containing food items, ingredients to cook, few groceries, with nice fabrics for them to make nice outfit to enable them look good and have a good time during the yuletide season.
