By Nkechi Eze

The Director General of National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General YD Ahmed has decorated two of his military aides with their new ranks.

The duo were part of the successful candidates in the recent Nigerian Army Senior Non-Commissioned Officers Promotion Board.

A statement made available to newsmen reads: His Personal Assistant, former Warrant Officer, Dada Patrick Bunmi and Military Orderly, former Corporal Nazifi Hamisu were decorated with their new ranks of Master Warrant Officer and Sergeant respectively.

Speaking while decorating the newly promoted officers in a colourful ceremony which was witnessed by members of NYSC Top Management, Soldiers and NYSC Officials at the National Directorate Headquarters in Maitama, Abuja, today, General Ahmed commended them for their diligence, loyalty, perseverance and sincerity.

He charged the newly promoted officers to be more industrious and not betray the trust reposed in them by the military authorities which earned their elevation.
