The National Association of Livestock Feeds Producers, Processors, and Marketers of Nigeria (NAPLiFPMON) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the nomination of Idi Mukhtar Maiha as the Minister of Livestock Development.
The President of NAPLiFPMON, Mohammad Alibaba, made the commendation in a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, NAPLiFPMON, Mr. Hamza Alkali
According to the statement: Thi landmark appointment highlights President Tinubu’s steadfast commitment to revitalizing Nigeria’s agricultural sector, particularly the livestock industry, as part of his administration’s broader goal of achieving food security for all Nigerians.
Mr. Alibaba, describing the choice, as a clear indication of President Tinubu’s visionary approach in identifying competent and experienced stakeholders to drive forward Nigeria’s economic development goals.
Mr. Maiha, a distinguished figure within the livestock subsector and an active member of NAPLiFPMON, brings with him a wealth of expertise, deep industry knowledge, and a clear vision for fostering growth in livestock production and marketing.
“We are confident that Mr. Maiha’s understanding of the complexities of the sector, coupled with his dedication to sustainable practices, positions him to fulfill the ministry’s mandate effectively. His familiarity with the challenges and opportunities within the sector makes him well-suited to implement policies that will not only address the needs of livestock farmers but also contribute significantly to the economic empowerment of Nigerians engaged in this vital industry.”
He added that : “The association looks forward to working closely with the Minister to ensure the alignment of the ministry’s policies with the aspirations of livestock feeds producers, processors, and marketers. Together, we can advance the livestock sector, enhance productivity, and support President Tinubu’s agenda to establish a self-sustaining food economy that guarantees food security and prosperity for our nation”, he added NAPLiFPMON, further pledged its unwavering support in the efforts to build a resilient livestock industry in Nigeria.
