The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the schedule of activities for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course, which will be conducted simultaneously across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.

In an official statement issued by the Director of Information and Public Relations of the scheme, Caroline Embu, the management disclosed that the three-week orientation exercise will run for 21 days in all the NYSC orientation camps nationwide.

According to the statement, the exercise will commence with the reception and registration of prospective corps members on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, and the process will continue until midnight of Friday, April 24, 2026.

The management further announced that prospective corps members mobilised for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II service year will take their oath of allegiance during the swearing-in ceremony scheduled for Friday, April 24, 2026.

The orientation programme, which is a key component of the national service year designed to prepare graduates for their service to the nation, is expected to conclude on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

While wishing the mobilised Nigerian graduates safe journeys to their respective orientation camps across the country, the NYSC management reiterated its warning against night travel.

The scheme advised prospective corps members to break their journeys once it is 6:00 p.m. and pass the night at safe locations such as Corps Members’ lodges, military formations, police stations or outposts, or the palace of a traditional ruler anywhere in the country before continuing their trips the following morning.
