The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to strengthening national security during his attendance at the commissioning of landmark projects in Ogun State.
The police chief’s presence at the event highlighted the strategic importance of security collaboration between federal law enforcement authorities and state governments in safeguarding lives and property across the country.
In a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, Anthony Placid, the Nigeria Police noted that security featured prominently during the commissioning ceremony, with the unveiling of new security vehicles and electric motorbikes designed to enhance operational capacity and strengthen rapid response capabilities across the state.
According to the statement, the newly commissioned assets are expected to significantly improve patrol efficiency and operational mobility for officers deployed in different parts of Ogun State.
During the ceremony, the Inspector-General commended the Ogun State Government for its proactive approach to strengthening security architecture in the state, stressing that sustained investment in security infrastructure remains vital to maintaining peace and stability.
Disu also reaffirmed the readiness of the Nigeria Police Force to continue working closely with state authorities and the Federal Government in addressing emerging security challenges across the country.
He assured residents that the police remain vigilant and committed to protecting citizens, supporting national development, and ensuring a safe and secure environment for all.
The Nigeria Police Force further expressed appreciation to the Governor of Ogun State and other dignitaries who attended the event for their continued partnership and support in advancing security initiatives.
The Force also urged members of the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and promptly report suspicious activities, noting that community participation remains essential to effective policing and public safety.
