The TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation has commended Babagana Umara Zulum for his generous donation of ₦150 million to the families of three military officers recently killed in counter-insurgency operations. Each bereaved family received ₦50 million, reflecting the state government’s continued commitment to supporting the loved ones of fallen heroes and wounded personnel.
In a statement signed by the foundation’s chairman, Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani Sadaukin Garkuwan Keffi/Betara Biu, the organisation expressed deep gratitude for Governor Zulum’s compassionate gesture, which included personal visits to the families of the late Lieutenant Colonels Umar Farouq, Salihu Iliyasu, and Aliyu Saidu Paiko in Abuja Niger State Kano State patriotism of the fallen officers.
The foundation’s Grand Patron, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai, personally praised Governor Zulum’s dedication to improving the lives of Borno State residents and extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the officers and other soldiers who paid the ultimate price in service to the nation.
Governor Zulum, in turn, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting bereaved families, including providing scholarships to the orphaned children of fallen personnel. He pledged to continue extending similar visits to other affected families, highlighting a compassionate and hands-on approach to addressing the needs of those who have suffered in the line of duty.
The foundation noted that the governor’s actions serve as a model of solidarity and care for military families, strengthening the bond between civil leadership and the armed forces in the fight against insurgency.
