The Federal Character Commission has intensified efforts to strengthen institutional collaboration and promote national development, as the Federal Commissioner representing Enugu State, Peter Eze, who also serves as Chairman of the Committee on Works, Transport and Aviation, led members of the committee to an interactive session with the management of the Nigeria College of Aviation Technology.
The engagement, held at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja, brought together key stakeholders to deliberate on strategies for deepening reforms and aligning institutional operations with the Commission’s mandate.
Dr. Danjuma Adamu Ismaila, who led the College’s delegation, participated in what officials described as a highly engaging and insightful session, with discussions centred on enhancing awareness of ongoing reforms and ensuring that the institution continues to contribute meaningfully to national development objectives.
Participants at the meeting examined areas of cooperation aimed at strengthening compliance with federal character principles, while also exploring pathways to improve operational efficiency and institutional impact within the aviation training sector.
Following the session, the delegation paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Ayo Omidiran, who warmly received them and reiterated the Commission’s commitment to supporting the College in achieving its mandate.
She emphasised the importance of sustained collaboration between federal institutions, noting that synergy across sectors remains critical to building a more inclusive and effective governance framework.
The visit underscores the Commission’s ongoing drive to engage key national institutions in constructive dialogue, with a view to strengthening reforms, enhancing accountability, and advancing the broader goals of equitable representation and national development.
