According to the statement, troops intercepted Geyi during a phone conversation in which he confirmed that the victim was still being held and demanded a ransom of ₦20 million for his release.
The suspect is currently in military custody undergoing further interrogation aimed at locating the victim and supporting efforts for his safe rescue.
Commending the troops for their swift and decisive action, the Commander, 6 Brigade, Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, reaffirmed the Brigade’s unwavering resolve to crack down on criminal syndicates, rescue victims, and restore security across Taraba State.
