The Federal High Court in Abuja has once again reaffirmed Chief Barrister Kenneth Udeze as the authentic, legitimate, and subsisting National Chairman of the Action Alliance (AA), following the striking out of a suit filed by Adekunle Rufai Omoaje.
Presided over by Honourable Justice O.A. Egwuatu, the court on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, struck out Suit No: FHC/KB/CS/8/2024 filed by Omoaje, who had sought an order directing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to publish his name as the National Chairman of Action Alliance on the Commission’s official website, among other reliefs.
According to an official statement signed by the National Secretary of Action Alliance, Vernimbe A. James, the matter was struck out following an application by Omoaje’s counsel to discontinue the case.
The ruling effectively reaffirmed Chief Barr. Kenneth Udeze as the recognised National Chairman of Action Alliance, while maintaining the legitimacy of his National Executive Committee as reflected on INEC’s website.
The party noted that the judgment also nullifies any claim emanating from the purported National Convention of October 7, 2023, held in Abeokuta, Ogun State, which has previously been invalidated by multiple court rulings.
The statement further urged INEC, in the interest of justice and fairness, to continue recognising Chief Barr. Udeze and his National Executive Committee as the authentic and lawful leadership of the Action Alliance, in compliance with the series of court judgments affirming same.
