During the event, the Executive Secretary of Oyo SEMA, Mrs. Ojuolape Busari, expressed gratitude to NEMA for organizing the timely forum and encouraged all attendees to adhere to the motto “if you see something, say something”. She also highlighted the efforts of the State Government, particularly through the Ibadan Urban Flood Management Project (IUFMP), in preparing for potential flood disasters.

Mr. Olanrewaju Kadiri, the NEMA SWZO Coordinator, emphasized the critical importance of effective Disaster preparedness and response in protecting community infrastructure, livelihoods, and the environment. He underscored the necessity of understanding and addressing the challenges and vulnerabilities faced by local communities.
