The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening partnerships with both local and international companies in order to accelerate the adoption of renewable energy solutions across the country. This initiative, government officials say, is geared toward ensuring sustainable power generation, reducing dependence on fossil fuels, and promoting a greener environment.

Director of Information & Public Relations at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), Segun Imohiosen, disclosed in a statement that Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, CON, gave the assurance in Abuja when he received a delegation from KF Manufacturing Company, Guangzhou, China, led by its Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Bruce Zheng, on a courtesy visit.

Highlighting the centrality of clean energy to the administration’s development agenda, Senator Akume said renewable energy remains indispensable to achieving Nigeria’s economic recovery and sustainability plan.

“The Federal Government is opening its doors to genuine local and foreign companies with the capacity and technology to drive renewable energy projects across the country,” the SGF said. “This partnership will go a long way to promote efficient power to people, industries and domestic uses.”

The SGF further assured that the present administration is determined to make Nigeria a hub for credible investors by creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive. He cited the abolition of multiple foreign exchange systems and multiple taxation as part of economic policies designed to reduce the burden on small and medium-scale enterprises while attracting long-term investments.

Speaking earlier, KF Manufacturing Company’s MD/CEO, Bruce Zheng, observed that many government institutions have yet to fully embrace renewable energy despite its proven benefits. He expressed the company’s readiness to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to expand the use of clean and safe energy sources in Nigeria. Zheng explained that KF Manufacturing Company supplies solar panels, batteries, and inverters that are eco-friendly and compliant with global green energy standards, making them suitable for both institutional and domestic adoption.
