Mr Stephen Adewale, the NEMA Zonal Director, South West Zone accompanied by the Head of Ekiti Operations Office Dr Kofoworola Soleye and other staff of the Ekiti Operations Office recently paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Christianah Afuye today 7th March 2024.
In his remarks, the Zonal Director appreciated the Director General, NEMA Mustapha Habib Ahmed for his visionary leadership in creating the new structure of Zonal Directorate in NEMA in order to minimize response time to Disaster in Nigeria.
He also appreciated Ekiti SEMA and Office of the Deputy Governor for the robust collaboration with NEMA to tackle Disasters in Ekiti and therefore called that the collaboration between NEMA and relevant Agencies needs to sustained in order to achieve a lot of feat in Disaster Management.
In her response, the Deputy Governor thanked NEMA for the usual cooperation and noted that with the creation of the Zonal Directorate, time of response would be drastically reduced.
